Shawn Butcher is a director and cinematographer working across film, advertising, fashion, and documentary. His stories are driven by emotion and authenticity, often highlighting the beauty in everyday moments and drawing powerful performances from non-actors. Raised in Los Angeles by German immigrants, he began in DIY skate films and has spent over a decade honing his craft. He’s currently developing his first feature, based on his award-winning short Lessons, praised for its suspense and standout young performances.
